Terms of Service
Effective July 30, 2026 · Applies to sabernotes.com, the Saber Notes Chrome extension, and the Saber Notes SMS service
Saber Notes turns meetings and notes into organized project summaries. It is operated by Reactivate, LLC ("Saber Notes," "we," "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the service. By creating an account or using Saber Notes, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them as plain as the product.
Who can use Saber Notes
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. If you're using Saber Notes on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have authority to accept these terms for it.
You're responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself.
Your content is yours
You keep ownership of everything you put into Saber Notes — notes, transcripts, imported documents, and the summaries and action items generated from them. You grant us only the permission we need to operate the service for you: to store, process, encrypt, transmit, and display your content back to you, and to send it to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy so they can transcribe and summarize it.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it. See the Privacy Policy for how your content is handled and protected.
Acceptable use
Don't use Saber Notes to:
- break the law, or record or transmit content you have no right to record or transmit;
- upload malware, or attempt to breach, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
- resell or redistribute the service, or use it to build a competing product;
- send unsolicited, harassing, or unlawful messages through the SMS service;
- store content you know to be unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
Recording responsibly
Depending on where you and other participants live, recording a conversation may require their consent. Saber Notes shows a recording indicator, but announcing the recording — and obtaining any consent the law requires — is your responsibility.
AI-generated output
Transcripts, summaries, action items, and chat responses are produced by AI models and can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a draft, not a record of fact. Don't rely on them for legal, financial, medical, or other decisions without checking the source material yourself.
Your own API keys
If you connect your own AI provider keys, you remain responsible for those accounts, including the provider's own terms and any usage charges they bill you. We store your keys encrypted and use them only to make requests on your behalf.
Plans and billing
Saber Notes offers paid subscription plans, billed in advance through our billing provider on the interval shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it's resolved. We may change prices with reasonable notice, effective on your next renewal.
SMS messaging terms
These terms govern the Saber Notes SMS service, which lets you capture notes by text message. They're part of these Terms of Service and apply in addition to everything above.
What the program does
Text to Saber, the Saber Notes SMS program, is a conversational, account-based messaging service. After you link your mobile number, you can text notes to your Saber Notes number and they'll be filed into your workspace. We reply only to confirm that a note was captured, to answer with an error if something went wrong, and to respond to the HELP and STOP keywords. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.
How you opt in
The SMS service is opt-in only and available to signed-in Saber Notes account holders. You opt in from your Saber Notes account settings: you enter your mobile number, verify that you control it by entering a one-time code we send to it, and check a box agreeing to receive text messages from Saber Notes at that number. We record the date, time, and wording of that agreement. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing anything, and having a phone number on your account for sign-in or two-factor authentication does not opt you in — only the checkbox does.
Opting out and getting help
You can cancel at any time by texting STOP to the Saber Notes number. We'll send one confirmation message and then stop sending texts to that number. To restart, text START or re-add your number in your settings.
For help, text HELP to the same number, or email hi@sabernotes.com.
Frequency, cost, and carriers
- Message frequency varies and depends on how often you text notes in — you receive a reply only when you message us.
- Message and data rates may apply. Saber Notes does not charge for the SMS service, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates do apply.
- Delivery is not guaranteed. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- The service is supported on major U.S. carriers, subject to their availability.
Privacy of your mobile information
Text messages you send us are treated as your content and protected the same way as your other notes — see the Privacy Policy. Mobile information collected for SMS delivery will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Keep your mobile number current in your settings. If you change or give up a number, remove it from Saber Notes so that notes and confirmations don't reach someone else.
Availability and changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may need to take the service down for maintenance. We'll try to avoid surprises for changes that matter.
Ending your account
You can stop using Saber Notes at any time; email us to delete your account and its data. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, that we're required to remove, or that has gone unpaid. If we terminate your account without cause, we'll refund any prepaid, unused portion of your subscription.
Disclaimers
Saber Notes is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that transcripts and summaries will be accurate. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reactivate, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim relating to Saber Notes is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Reactivate, LLC harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or of anyone else's rights — including claims arising from recording a conversation without the consent the law required.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the product. Continuing to use Saber Notes after a change means you accept the updated terms.
